Other Dependent Relatives
There are different rules which apply in relation to dependents such as parents and grandparents, adult sons and daughters, who are seeking to join settled relatives in the UK.
You must be over 65 or under 18 years of age to apply as a dependent. However, there are very exceptional circumstances which may permit individuals who are above 18 and below 65 years of age to apply as a dependent.
You should be clear as to the rules under this category before making an application as in our experience a refusal could have an adverse affect on any future application.
