Sole Representatives
The purpose of this category is to allow individuals to establish a commercial presence in the UK, by setting up a branch or wholly-owned subsidiaries for companies which are based overseas.
The company must be based overseas and must not have a trading presence or a representative in the UK, in order to justify sending someone to the UK to set up a branch or subsidiary.
There are also detailed requirements in relation to the individual who is being sent to the UK as a representative and what the representative is expected to achieve in the first year. We will take you through these requirements so that you can decide who in your organisation will be suitable send to the UK under this category.
Once the branch or subsidiary has been set up and if the company requires the skills and experience of non-EEA nationals, we can assist you with making of an application under the Work Permit Scheme.
