If you are a writer, composer or artist who has established a reputation outside the UK, applying under this category will allow you to base yourself as a self-employed writer, composer or artist in the UK. If you will be paid a salary from a company, then you will not be able to apply under this category and you will need to consider applying under the Work Permit Scheme.
