Conveyancing is the transfer of ownership of land or property from one person to another, which essentially involves the transfer of a good title (i.e. the seller is actually in a legal position to sell the property).

In our experience, the usual conveyancing procedure for sale/purchase of a freehold property takes about four to six weeks, and a leasehold flat or share of freehold property could take up to eight weeks depending on how long the management/freeholder enquiries take to be answered. Our property team is aware, that some clients have their own timescales and urgent deadlines, for example, they may be involved in a contract race and therefore require the transaction to be completed quickly. Our team will actively work towards accommodating your timescale.
