Kavina Ponnampalam

Kavina (professionally known as Mrs. P) read her law degree (LLB) at the University of Colombo and was admitted as an attorney-at-law & notary public in Sri Lanka in 1992. Given Kavina’s vast experience in commercial affairs, she has been appointed as their legal advisor to a well-established corporation in Sri Lanka.
Kavina was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in 1998; specialising herself in residential and commercial property transactions. Kavina deals with all aspects of residential sales and purchases including right-to-buys, leases, new builds and shared ownerships, re-mortgages and equity transfers/gift. On the commercial side, Kavina has wealth of experience and broad knowledge of sale and purchases of commercial properties and businesses, commercial leases (new, extensions, renewal and surrender), assignments and rent reviews. She also deals with personal and premises license applications including new, transfer and variation etc (In/Off licence).
In addition to her speciality, Kavina has experience in wills and probates and has also a wide range of experience in immigration matters from humanitarian visas/protection visas, nationality, entry clearance, settlement visa applications to representing clients at appeals.
Kavina speaks fluent Tamil and Sinhala. Kavina has been a partner in a well-established London firm for almost 20 years before joining Lester Dominic Solicitors in October 2021.
